Rwanda National Congress would, in particular, like to thank the brave woman who descended on the soil of her home country Rwanda in search of democracy that is denied by Paul Kagame’s regime, and that woman is Ingabire Victory.

Ingabire Victory a mother, a revolutionary and a politician has defied the odds and done things worth writing in Rwandan. She has stood against the evil, defeated the injustice system, and exposed Paul Kagame’s savagery behaviour in a modern society.

Ingabire and other opposition leaders face harassments, intimidation and unlawful accusations for their rightful thinking. It is unheard of in history where an individual is charged of “Ideology”. This savagery acts by President Kagame’s regime continues to plunge Rwanda into deep divisions. If not looked at “Now and not tomorrow” Rwandese, will beheld accountable for the failure to act when it is still time and necessary.

Fellow country men and women sit not and wait for the “other” to do something. Like Benjamin Franklin said; "We must indeed all hang together, or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately." Its your responsibility in this world to do something worth writing. As women celebrates International Women’s day, think  of those who lost their lives in 1994 – to date and those who are perishing in prisons across Rwanda.

Rwanda National Congress also would like to remind those women living in exile that “You strike woman, you strike a rock”. Women, just like men are needed more than ever before in order to build a just society. Unlike false prophecy by Paul Kagame’s regime that 51% holds positions in parliament, RNC believe that women are the corner stone of our democracy and that percentages means nothing. We salute those who are in our women’s league across the globe.

Umutoni Clarisse, a mother of two, who sought refugee in South Africa from 2011, expressed her disappointments while speaking to rncnewsonline and this is what she had to stay.

" As a mother, I feel betrayed. Paul Kagame's regime has destroyed our lives, our parents  and relatives died fighting for a democratic country where people suppose to feel at home. All that is no longer the case, instead most Rwandans are living under threat. Soldiers are seen patrolling everywhere, you wonder what is going to happen next". Said Umutoni Clarisse.

On this day, the 8^th March 2012, as we join hands in player for the widows and those unable to be with their husbands, we call upon you to stand up and be the shining rocks of our future generation. As it is our African heritage to sit around the fire, practice the norm with the future generation and share our culture; a culture of sharing nor selfishness, a culture of brotherhood nor of blood shading.  RNC wishes you a happy and celebratory women's day.
