RNC-FDU-INKINGI COALITION EXPLAINED PART 2.

First caller on the Radio was Jean Claude who addressed his question to Gerald Gahima. He asked Gerald Gahima, what they achieved thus far with the coalition?
Gerald Gahima responded by saying that different issues were agreed on, that includes rebuilding the country that is based on democracy and that respect of freedom of speech. In addition, Nkiko Nsengimana said that now people see them as leaders who can build a nation, given an example of the activities they undertook such as, mobilizations as well as demonstrations that took place across the world. " This showed the will of people and the strength that RNC-FDU-INKING coalition is gaining on the ground" Said Nkiko Nsengimana.

Sixbert Musangamfura said that people use to have issues with Hutus/Tutsi joining a party and that it created insecurities but now everyone is up in arms and ready to fight for their country. An example would be different members found in the coalition, the demonstrations that took place all over the world. People from all ethnics, Tutsis and Hutus joined hands and the results were amazing. He also added that FDU-Inking was questioned whether it was a party for Hutus by some individuals, Ingabire responded in saying that it belongs to all Rwandans.

Patrick Karegeya told the listeners that they must sit and engage and know each better instead of judging people. He added that, during the meetings they discussed different things that include luck of democracy, freedom of speech, justice and that the western world knows the injustices in Rwanda. He also questioned people of how reconciliation can be archived if there is no freedom of speech. In quoting President Paul Kagame’s words “ Agaciro” he said that, how can people be given a Agaciro without freedom of speech?

Second caller, who did not mention his name, asked the guests that the coalition had brought division in FDU-INKINGI, what was the problem? Nkiko said that during the meetings that took place all the FUD-INKINGI committee members were informed of what’s happening. There are two or three people who broke away and that did not stop them from going ahead and forming the coalition. Patrick Karegeya also emphasised it by saying that in any organisation misunderstandings are expected. It’s not like in the RPF where you have to abide to what Paul Kagame says.

Asked about the mapping report, Gerald Gahima said that they have taken a decision and that it is for all the Rwandans to put pressure on the United Nations as well as implicate those mentioned in the report so that they can be held accountable.  Patrick Karegeya also added that, the UN Security Council has to be pushed in all corners so that the issues of mapping report as well as of Marc Travedic report can be put under the spotlight as soon as possible. Sixbert Musangamfura also affirmed to the listeners that they have explained to various organisations, such as Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and many other organisations the continued impunities in Rwanda.

Dr Theogene Rudasingwa seconded Sixbert Musangamfura’s point by adding that there are so many murders and attempted murders that were engineered by the government of Rwanda. He also stretched out that, people should not sit and wait for the French judges to decide their fate. RNC and FDU-INKINGI should do their utmost best to follow up the mapping report and bring justice to those denied.

Another caller posed a question to Dr Theogene Rudasingwa with regard to an alternative to President Paul Kagame’s regime, the state of readiness and the implications involved.  Patrick Karegeya responded that it is not the first time or the last time someone asks such question.  He stated that there is always an alternative to a “killing machine”. Gerald Gahima also emphasised that those who knew Paul Kagame as a peace maker do no longer see/feel it that way.
He further stressed that people’s perception have changed. When you speak to people in government, they will tell you that he is a killer. They ask themselves, “How will we change it”? Those are questions people pose when you speak to them.

Dr Rudasingwa concluded today’s show by thanking the guests and listeners.  He also reminded them that Radio Itahuka Ijwi ry’Ihuriro Nyarwanda is for them and they should remain with peace.
